To be responsible for all planning activities for a DLS formal social. This includes identifying a venue, working with ACRL/ALA to negotiate a contract, and arranging for the collection of payments from those attending the formal social. In addition, the committee will be responsible for planning informal socials for DLS at conference where no formal social is planned. The committee will work with Membership, Communications, Web, and Liaison Committees to publicize the social events.
