January 2002 All-committee meeting Statistics Committee Minutes Attending: Mark Horan (Chair), Chui-chun Lee, Laura (Lucio) Rodriguez, Richard Bradberry; Joyce Thornton, Anne Haynes Absent: Gayle Bradbeer After greetings and news, the committee approved the minutes from Annual 2001. Project progress is quite good. We set a deadline to have a paper/report ready by next mid-winter. In the interim and prior to the annual meeting, the chair volunteered to write the selection method section and to total the outcomes of the readers' analysis and report back. He would also send copies of all the preliminary reports to the members. Members agreed to work on possible outlines for the paper and to develop categories for the types of content we examined, i.e. thesis, speech, program description, textbook... In discussion over the charge, the committee decided not to make any changes. There were no comments about changes to the webpages. Rebecca Sedam, substituting for our regular web committee liaison, came and told us to send any page changes to her. There is strategic planning money available to the section, we did not get to that part of the agenda. However, it may have been committed to the membership program. Strategic (draft) goals are
