SWITCH Libraries

Welcome to the SWITCH Information Literacy web tutorials, or SILT.

SILT is a web resource created for all students, staff and faculty of the SWITCH library consortium. Its purpose is to help teach library and research skills.

Each of the tutorials takes about 10-15 minutes to complete.

They can be completed during a class or on one's own time. At the end of each section there is a short quiz.

For the best viewing, temporarily alter your web browser settings to allow popup windows and maximize your browser window.

IMPORTANT: If you are using Internet Explorer as your web browser, you will need to change your browser settings to enable Javascript as well as the "Allow Web Sites to Prompt for Information using Scripted Windows" option.
