Periodicals are publications issued at least twice a year. Examples of periodicals are newspapers, magazines, and journals.

"Current periodicals" are those which have recently arrived. Periodicals are often housed in a separate section of the library. Ask the reference librarian where the periodicals can be found in your library.

"Bound periodicals" are back issues of a journal or magazine that have the appearance of a hardcover book.
